Ozonation is a disinfection and refresh process using ozone (O₃) – a highly reactive gas that fills the entire space and reaches areas where traditional washing or wet cleaning is ineffective or risky for materials. That’s why it works not only at home, but also in professional use.
How does ozone remove bad odors?
Unpleasant odor is often not just “dirt”, but a mix of volatile organic compounds and the result of microorganisms (bacteria and fungi). Ozone works in two ways:

oxidizes odor-causing molecules (neutralizes them instead of masking with fragrance),
-
reduces the source of the problem, limiting the growth of bacteria and fungi that produce the odor.
The effect is fast and especially noticeable where odor “sits” deep in foams, seams, liners and hard-to-reach areas.
Viruses and bacteria – why is ozonation associated with disinfection?
Ozone is a strong oxidizer, therefore:

damages bacterial cell structures and limits their growth,
-
acts against fungi and mold (important for damp items),
-
can inactivate some viruses in the environment, especially on surfaces and in the air – which is why it’s sometimes used as part of hygiene procedures.
In practice, ozonation is treated as support for disinfection and refreshing, especially where not everything can be washed or wet-cleaned.
Where is ozonation used in everyday life? (examples)
This is not a “motorcycle invention” – ozone has been used for years, e.g. in:

swimming pools (to improve water quality and reduce unpleasant smells),
-
air conditioning and ventilation (refreshing systems and reducing odors),
-
rooms: hotels, offices, homes, cars (e.g. after cigarette smoke, flooding, intense odors).
Why is ozonation perfect for helmets and motorcycle gear?
With motorcycle equipment, the issue is that most parts:
-
can’t be properly cleaned “wet” without risking damage,
-
can’t be washed thoroughly inside (foams, ventilation channels, strap areas),
-
and odor comes back if the source (microorganisms) remains.
Ozone reaches where brushes and liquids can’t: helmet interior, cheek and forehead areas, collar, seams, protector zones, gloves, boots.
How does our cabinet work?
Ozone (O₃) is an active form of oxygen – a highly reactive gas that can quickly help neutralize unpleasant odors by reacting with the molecules responsible for them. In our cabinet, the entire process runs under controlled conditions, making it safe, repeatable and convenient for everyday use.
The cabinet has a built-in ozone generator with a properly selected concentration, so it refreshes gear effectively while remaining predictable and quick. A standard ozonation cycle lasts 2 minutes – after that the device automatically stops and disconnects the generator, and the end of the cycle is indicated by a flashing light.
Inside, there is a rotating platform to ensure even treatment from all sides. The interior also features LED lighting.
Operation is as simple as it gets:

A short click starts the ozonation.

A longer press turns on the rotating platform only – without generating ozone (e.g., to rotate/position gear or ventilate the interior).

Opening the door automatically stops ozonation and immediately interrupts the cycle – extra safety and full control.
That’s it: place the helmet (or other item), close the door, click – and after two minutes your gear feels noticeably fresher, without water, chemicals, or “masking” the odor with perfume.
1Start the cabinet
Place the helmet inside and start the cabinet with a short press of the white button.
2Ozonation cycle
The standard ozonation cycle lasts 2 minutes.
3Wait briefly
After removing the item, wait a moment – do not put the helmet on immediately.
Mobile ozonation cabinet equipment
The ozonation cabinet was designed and built by Xzone sp. z o.o. for intensive use – at motorcycle events, in workshops, shops, and rental businesses. It’s a “plug & play” solution that combines fast ozonation with a practical build, making on-site and day-to-day work easier.
The set is refined for ergonomics and mobility. The cabinet includes:

a transport base cabinet with an extra worktop and adjustable feet (stable even on uneven ground),
-
drawers, including a “hidden” one with a complete set of helmet cleaning products – everything at hand and tidy,
-
power supply – ready to plug in and work in different conditions,
-
a curtain to neatly cover the interior of the base cabinet and improve the visual look (especially at fairs and events).
All of this creates a complete, professional, mobile station for quick helmet hygiene – built for real customer-facing work.
Mobile or stationary version.
We can prepare the cabinet as:
- a mobile set with a base transport box (easy transport, stable base and space for accessories),
or as
- the cabinet only – a stationary solution for a workshop, shop, moto hotel or a permanent service point (without the transport box).

Safety
Ozone is an irritating gas and must not be inhaled. We run the process under controlled conditions, with no people in the ozone area, followed by a waiting and ventilation procedure.
