WHY IS WASHING A HELMET LINER SO IMPORTANT?

The helmet liner requires special care in terms of maintenance and the use of dedicated products. High-quality materials with membranes, when they get dirty, can cause:

• reduced breathability.
• limited ventilation and a feeling of discomfort.
• skin problems – on the facial skin and scalp.

WHICH PRODUCTS SHOULD YOU AVOID?

You definitely should not wash the liner with:

• hair shampoos
• carpet cleaning liquids
• laundry detergents for clothes
• grey soap
• water with window cleaner
• fabric softeners
• in a washing machine
• baby shampoos
• detergents

All kinds of sprays or foams are also not the best way to properly clean the liner, because we probably can’t remove the product from inside the liner 100%, and applying foam doesn’t let us reach all the nooks and crannies of the liner—therefore we do not recommend using these products.

To clean the helmet liner correctly, you should remove it (if possible) and wash it by hand! This is important enough to rinse out all the dirt that is inside the liner.

The best way to safely—and without a doubt most effectively—clean the liner is:

• washing with gentle liquids designed for helmet liner washing
• hand washing
• gently squeezing out the water
• letting it dry naturally
