You try on a suit in the store, it feels a bit tight… you bend, squat, stretch, look at the salesperson and hear: “Don’t worry, it will stretch a little more…”

So, will a motorcycle suit stretch?

Is it true?

It depends. On what?

If the suit pinches in every possible place, causes discomfort and you immediately feel that putting it on will be a struggle every single time… then maybe it’s not the right model for you. Remember that every suit is cut differently, using different standards and measurements.

If you feel that the suit is generally comfortable and it doesn’t pinch you at seam areas, e.g. under the arms or in the crotch, then a slight “stretch” is possible. How to do it? The key is moisturizing the leather (we recommend Xzone leather milk), which makes it more elastic. Leather should be moisturized using the right products. We do not recommend soaking suits—this can cause warping, deformation and drying out of the leather.

Remember that your comfort is very important and it also directly affects your safety. A suit that restricts a rider’s movements is not suitable. The other extreme is a “too loose” suit, but that’s a topic for the next post ????
